No, you don't need to top up your business debit card in multiple currencies. While the overall balance in your amnis multi-currency account must cover the card transaction, your respective currency account doesn't necessarily need to have sufficient balance. As long as your overall balance is sufficient, we handle your debit card transactions automatically, no matter the country or currency, and avoid unnecessary fx conversions whenever possible.
However, if the overall balance of your amnis account is insufficient, the transaction will be declined.
Tip: You can check your overall balance in the upper left corner of your amnis account.

Please note that you can choose between two different methods for processing debit card transactions: The merchant currency and the card currency method.
If you have selected the merchant currency settlement, card transactions will processed in the merchant's currency and debited from the corresponding currency accounts. To benefit from 0% fx fees, please ensure to maintain a sufficient balance in the required merchant currency account. If you don't hold the required amount in the merchant's currency, we'll settle your card transaction automatically against the reference currency - read here about the merchant currency settlement logic.
If you have selected the card currency settlement, all transactions are processed in one single currency, your predefined card currency, and debited from the corresponding wallet.
Whichever card transaction settlement method you select, you will always have access to 0% FX and card transaction fees, provided that your chosen currency account maintains a sufficient balance, resulting in savings of 3 - 5% on card transactions in major currencies and even higher savings in exotic currencies compared to traditional solutions.
