A custom data export generally refers to the functionality of exporting data from a system (e.g., amnis) into a CSV file according to your specific requirements. Instead of relying solely on predefined standard reports, amnis enables you to define your own formats and contents.
How does it differ from a standard CSV export?
A standard CSV export typically includes all predefined columns, even if many of them are not required for importing into your target system. With a user-defined export template, you can determine both the selection of columns and their order.
What are the benefits of a Custom Data Export or a User-Defined Export Template?
Rather than downloading a standard account statement that contains all available fields, you can tailor the export to your needs by defining:
Which data fields should be included (e.g., only date, amount, contact, card number).
The column names can be customized and adjusted to match the requirements of the system into which the file will be imported.
In which order the columns should appear.
Which delimiter should be applied (e.g., comma, semicolon, or tab).
This is particularly useful when data needs to be imported into another system (such as accounting software or an ERP platform) that requires a specific structure.
Can multiple templates be created?
Yes. You can define and save several templates, so there is no need to recreate them for each export.
Can these exports be automated?
Yes. At amnis, you can configure time-based automation. You may choose to have the defined export template delivered to a designated email address on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
