Selecting the right account type at amnis as a sole proprietorship
In Switzerland, sole proprietorships can either be registered in the commercial register or operate without registration. At amnis, we only support businesses that are registered in the commercial register.
The onboarding process at amnis depends on your registration status:
Registered sole proprietorships: If your business is entered in the commercial register and has a VAT (UID) number, select the "Business account" option during onboarding. Under the question "What is the legal form of your company?", choose "Individual enterprise".
Unregistered sole proprietorships: If your business is not registered in the commercial register, you are currently not eligible for an amnis account. amnis serves companies and sole proprietorships that are registered in the commercial register.

As a sole proprietor, keeping your personal and business finances separate is essential for efficient bookkeeping and clear financial management.
With amnis, your business finances can be managed through your business account, helping you maintain a clear separation between business and personal expenses and reducing administrative hassle.

Please note: The amnis-bexio synchronisation is only available for business accounts.
