A business debit card might need to be suspended temporarily, for example, when the card is only used for business travels. To prevent misuse of the card in between trips, we offer the option to suspend cards.

We do not offer single-use cards. However, the flexible de- and reactivation in combination with our smart card control possibilities allows you to use your card in a safe way, almost like a single-use card.

Suspending a card

In the amnis WebApp:

  1. Log in to your amnis account

  2. Go to the "Debit cards" section and select the respective card.

  3. Click on "Active" and select "Suspend" to suspend the card in real-time.

In the amnis Mobile App:

  1. Open the amnis Mobile App.

  2. Select the “Cards” item.

  3. If you have selected the card in question, you can either tap on “Deactivate” or “Block”. You can also reactivate the card here.

💡 Good to know if you have installed the app and are ready to log in:

If you have multiple accounts linked to your amnis login, simply tap the icon in the top right corner of the mobile app to switch between companies.

Getting the amnis App on your mobile device is easy. You can find the installation instructions here.

Reactivating a card

If you would like to use the card for payments again, you can reactivate it conveniently in your amnis account. Simply select the respective card and click on the button "Reactivate".

The cards can be suspended and reactivated as often as needed without any limits.

Please note: A suspended card still counts towards the maximum contingent of physical cards.

What is the difference between suspending and blocking cards?

Blocked cards cannot be reactivated and, thus, do not count towards your contingent anymore. Card blocking is used, for example, when fraud is suspected or has occurred, when the card has been lost or when an employee has left the company.
