To order a debit card, navigate to Debit Cards in the left-hand menu of the amnis WebApp and click New Debit Card in the top-right corner. This will start the ordering process.

Follow the steps below by expanding each section as needed.

1. Choose the card type

First, select whether you want a virtual or a physical debit card.

Physical debit cards

  • Easy online ordering, delivered within a few days

  • Accepted in stores worldwide

  • Cash withdrawals at ATMs possible

Virtual debit cards

Instantly created and ready for immediate use

Cost-efficient and environmentally friendly (no plastic, no shipping)

Ideal for online payments and subscriptions

No risk of loss or theft from a physical wallet

2. Define the cardholder

Every debit card – virtual or physical – requires a cardholder.
You can select an existing cardholder or add a new one.

3. Card name and delivery address

  • Define the name on the card (displayed on the back of the card and often required for online purchases).

  • For physical cards, you will also specify the delivery address.

4. Security settings

Next, configure the card’s security settings:

  • Country validity
Defines which countries the card can be used in.
Amnis recommendation: Restrict usage to countries where the card is actively used.
This setting can be changed at any time in the WebApp or Mobile App.

  • Cash withdrawals allowed
Determines whether cash withdrawals are permitted.

  • Online payments
Defines whether card details can be used for online transactions.

  • In-store / POS payments
Determines whether payments at physical terminals are allowed.

  • Swipe payments (physical cards only)
Enables or disables magnetic stripe transactions.

  • Custom card blocking date
Defines the card's validity period (maximum of 3 years).

5. Set spending limits

You can define individual limits:

  • Daily limit – maximum amount per day

  • Monthly limit – maximum amount per month

  • Total limit – maximum total spend for the card.

(By setting a total spending limit, you can define the maximum cumulative amount that can be spent with the card. Once this limit is reached, further transactions will be declined. This field can be left blank if you prefer to use only daily and/or monthly limits.)

👉 Limits can be adjusted at any time by the card administrator via the WebApp or Mobile App.

6. Review & order

In the final step, you will see a summary of all the entered information.
Click Order debit card to issue the card.
