Curious about the advantages of local payments over SWIFT?

Read the following article to learn the basics and understand the key differences between local and SWIFT payments.

SWIFT payment fees explained

Depending on the selected plan, a certain number of free SWIFT payments (SWIFT-SHA) are included per month. Each SWIFT-SHA payment is worth 10.00 EUR/CHF. Payments exceeding the free allowance will incur a fixed fee, as outlined in the following table. The type of SWIFT transaction (SHA or DEBT) determines the fee amount.

Fee type

Fee structure

Free allowance/amnis plan

Fee amount

SHA

The sender shares the fees with the recipient.

SWIFT-SHA payments included per month:

  • Launch: 1 free payment

  • Essential: 5 free payments

  • Professional: 40 free payments

  • Enterprise: Custom allowances

Cost beyond the free allowance:

  • 10.00 EUR/CHF

DEBT

The sender pays all the fees, ensuring that the recipient bank receives the full payment amount.

Please note:

Only SWIFT-SHA payments are included in our plans. If you choose to send a payment with SWIFT-DEBT fees, you will receive a fee discount of 10.00 EUR/CHF on payments within your monthly allowance. This discount matches the SWIFT-SHA fee.

For payments exceeding the free allowance, the full SWIFT-DEBT fee will be charged.

Cost beyond the free allowance:

  • 30.00 EUR/CHF

Cost of SWIFT-DEBT payments within the free allowance:

  • 20.00 EUR/CHF

  • Second payment (SHA): 10.00 EUR/CHF

Useful information on payment fee charges

Please note that all payment fees are charged in EUR or CHF, and not in the reference currency that you can set individually.

The fees are deducted at the end of each month from your overall balance, which is shown in the upper left corner of your amnis account. For customers from Switzerland, the overall balance is displayed in CHF, while for all other customers, it is displayed EUR. This currency (CHF or EUR) is automatically determined by the system and cannot be modified.
