What is Payment AI?
Payment AI is part of amnis AI & Automation tools and helps you create payments faster by automatically extracting payment details from invoices.
Instead of manually entering invoice data, you can upload (or send) an invoice and amnis will automatically extract the relevant information and prepare a payment draft for your review.
The goal is to reduce manual work in the invoice-to-payment process while keeping you fully in control of approvals and execution.
How does Payment AI work?
The workflow is simple:
Upload or send an invoice
amnis extracts the relevant payment information
A payment draft is created
You review and, if needed, edit the data
You approve the payment
Payment AI assists with preparation, but payments are never executed without your approval.
Where can I find Payment AI?
You can access Payment AI in the amnis platform:
Log in to your amnis account
Go to Payments in the left-side menu
Select Invoice upload from the New Payment button
Make sure AI features are enabled:
Click your profile icon (top right)
Go to Company Settings.
Navigate to AI & automations management.
Enable AI features
Is Payment AI included in all subscription plans?
Payment AI is available across all paid plans.
However, access to specific AI features and usage limits depend on your subscription plan.

What data does Payment AI extract?
Payment AI reads invoices and extracts key payment details, such as:
Beneficiary details
Amount
Currency
Due date*
Invoice number
Payment details (e.g. IBAN, reference)
This information is used to generate a ready-to-review payment draft.
* If a future due date is detected, the payment will be scheduled for execution on that date.
Can I edit the payment before approving it?
Yes. You can always review and adjust the extracted information before approving the payment, ensuring accuracy and full control.
Does Payment AI automatically execute payments?
No. Payment AI only prepares the payment draft. Payments are executed only after you review and approve them.
Do I stay in control of payments?
Yes. You always review the extracted data and approve the payment before execution. You remain fully responsible for payment approvals.
How can I create payments with Payment AI?
There are currently two workflows:
1. Invoice upload
Upload an invoice directly in amnis
The system extracts the data and creates a payment draft
2. Mail-to-Pay
Forward an invoice to your dedicated amnis email address
amnis automatically processes it and creates a payment draft
Mail-to-Pay is a separate but complementary workflow.
How many invoices can I upload, and which formats are supported?
In the current Beta version:
You can upload one invoice at a time
Supported formats: PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, TIFF
Maximum file size: 8 MB
Each invoice generates one payment draft.
